Idaho – Garden City Police Department – Smells Corrupt? What do you think?

The Garden City Police Department smells a bit like corruption – what do you think? They will not return my items that they took from me. I was Shot in the chest and left for dead by Tammy Sweeden on May 14, 2012. Motive?

She robbed me of my life-savings. Chief of Police, James Bensley of Garden City Police Department treated my house as a crime scene.I was rushed to the hospital with a bullet hole in my chest and bleeding.

The Police immediately requested a search warrant and several police officers ransacked my house and removed 26 items from my house.

As of Nov 5, 2014, the Garden City Police Department will NOT return my private property directly to me. It’s been over 30 months!!!!

Get this….while I was in the hospital – only 48 hours later. Tammy Sweeden fled the state with my life-savings. The Garden City Police Department of Idaho allowed her to leave.

The Garden City Police Department will NOT even investigate the MOST obvious facts about this case.

I provided several names and phone numbers of creditable people who would validate my story and will give true facts about Tammy Sweeden. As far as I know, none of these people have been contacted.

Either the GCPD are incompedant, corupt or they simply do not care. Who knows? They remain silent.

Two officers of the Garden City Police Department waltzed into my hospital room while I was heavily medicated on pain medication. They asked a few insulting questions – however, only stayed about 15 minutes. Since then, I pleaded for the Garden City Police Department to interview me to get more facts about my situation. They often ignored my requests. Why would police wait months to interview me, the victim, in a professional manner?
Once the officers of the Garden City Police Department received more information and more facts from me – they refused to even follow up on any of the facts. Why?
Garden City Police Department promised to return all my firearms they removed from my house within 2 weeks after being released from hospital. However, six months later, they still refuse to release my items directly to me. They removed about 26 items from my house and they will not release any of the items or my firearms.
I even passed an extensive firearm criminal backgound check with flying colors. GCPD will not release my firearms. I was the VICTIM who was shot and robbed – however, GCPD will not return everything they removed from my house.
I’m just guessing, but do you think the GCPD intends to steal my private property?
Being shot and robbed is one thing, but having the Garden City Police Department remove items from your home and making it difficult for you to retrieve them is another. What is happening to our freedoms and our rights? What is going on with our police departments? Aren’t we suppose to trust our police to do the RIGHT thing?

If you’ve been a victim but treated like a criminal or had any similar problems with the Garden City Police Department of Idaho, then please contact me immediatly. Don’t you feel their arrogance and treating victims like non-people must stop?

I cooperated with the police by the following:
1. 24 hours after I was shot and while heavily medicated I answered questions at hospital. I did the best I could while under the influence of pain meds.
2. I was requested to provide receipts. I supplied those receipts in a timely manner.
3. Police requested that I fill out forms and provide receipts, etc for firearms and get form notarized. I did that promptly and drove to police station. I did all of these with a fresh bullet hole in my chest and cracked ribs.
4. I supplied all my finger prints at the police station. (not required…I did it for them.)
5. I always made myself available to anwer questions. I answered questions for FOUR hours by two detectives.
6. I provided a missing property affidavit to the police as requested.
7. At my expense I provided a website to find new evidence for the police.
8. At my expense I mailed to over 50 gold dealers in Las Vegas warning them
of Tammy Sweeden and stolen gold and silver.
9. When I returned from hospital I walked into an empty house without any protection. After all, I had experienced an attempted murder. Police would not release NOT even one of my firearms for my protection.
10. I waited for several weeks to receive the results of a firearm background check. The GCPD said I passed very well. But still no release of a single firearm.
11. I made several phone calls to the GCPD asking about my case and how else I can assist to get closure. Most of my phone calls went directly to a voice mail.

I believe I’ve cooperated very well. I’m hoping my items are NOT being returned because the GCPD are being double professional and keeping anything and everything that will provide evidence in the conviction of Tammay Sweeden.
