I’m 60 years old – I was retired with a retirement fund. One evening, I was shot in the chest and my retirement fund was stolen by someone I trusted. It wasn’t an accident – it was a kill shot. In the words of Detective Winter “This is an Attempted Murder.” The bullet missed my heart by 1″. I had to endure painful lung surgery – 11 days in the hospital.
During my painful recovery in the hospital -James Bensley, the chief of police and his minions ransacked my home and removed 26 personal and legal items from my home including long guns wrapped in blankets in a closet in the garage. A few were sentimental heirlooms from my deceased father.
The minions also took expensive sheets, pillows, blankets, clothes, shoes, hat and other personal items from my home. The minions even took my clothes and shoes that I wore to the hospital by ambulance and would not let me have my own clothes to return home! The nurses scouted around and found used scrub clothes for me to wear home. It was pitiful.
Over $2,000 in personal and legal items.
The chief of police, James Bensley, demanded that I provide proof of ownership of my firearms and requested I fill out a form for an extensive background check. I provided the “good” chief everything he requested. I even hand delivered the materials in person.
After waiting several weeks, my background check came back with a spotless crime record. James Bensley still would not release my personal and legal items. After many letters and complaints to elected officials – still no return of my personal and legal items. It’s been over 2 years.
Question: Do you think it’s possible the Chief of Police, James Bensley, of a town less than 12,000 people, is just too busy? Is this small town in “Idaho” so crime ridden that “James” is just too busy to resolve my situation due to ALL his crime fighting duties? You decide.
As citizens, we usually expect our public servants to be honest, however, it does not seem to be the ‘norm’ any more. Americans are disgusted with the actions and behaviors of our public servants. It is the blatant disregard for the rights people should have in a land of the “Free”. People within our towns and cities are repulsed and certainly have a right to be.
I complained again. Again, James Bensley, requested I fill out the paper work again and demanded that I spend more time and money to get the paper work notarized. I promptly did exactly what the “CHIEF” requested and mailed the requested materials. Along with it was a note….asking the “CHEIF” to please keep his word this time.
James Bensley demanded that I not contact the Garden City Police department or his employees by phone or email. Only by “mail”.
It’s been over two more weeks since James Bensley has received all the requested materials he demanded in order for me to receive the personal and legal items that he PROMISED – not a word from James Bensely, chief of police of the Garden City Police Department of Idaho, can now say he never received anything from me and can legally steal my personal and legal items.
Most people have experienced the unreliability of the mail system at times. The Chief also knows this fact. However, I have recorded documentation.
This is the “Game” our public servants play with the public. Cop Corruption is an Epidemic in America and it’s getting worse.
I tried to give James Bensely the benefit of the doubt, however, other people have told me not to trust James Bensley and or his minions within the Garden City Police Department. I did not want to believe their opinions. However, maybe it’s true.
So far, James Bensley, has certainly demonstrated to me that he is NOT a man of his word.
By the way, the Garden City Police Department of Idaho allowed the person who shot and rob me to leave town. This psychopath is free to spend my retirement fund – thanks to James Bensley and the Garden City Police Department of Idaho.
What happened to “Protect and Serve?”
Again, I ask. Does James Bensley, Chief of Police of Garden City Police Deparment Have Character, Integrity and Honor? Is James Bensley an Honest Man?

James Bensley, acting as chief of police of Garden City, Idaho owes me over $2,000 worth of personal and legal items that he and his minions carried out of my home without my consent.
